According to humor guru William Fry, M.D., professor emeritus of psychiatry at Stanford University, by the time the average child reaches kindergarten, he or she laughs about 300 times a day. However, Rod Martin, Ph.D., at the University of Western Ontario, found that most adults only laugh a measly 17 times a day.
